Let's be honest: Super Bowl parties are 50% watching the game and 50% eating (and that's being generous when it comes to football). Whether you're hosting the gathering or attending as a guest, give everyone something to cheer about with crowd-pleasing snacks that are perfect for game day.
1) Pretzel Focaccia
Instead of a bowl of boring pretzels to serve alongside your favorite snacks, make a batch of these fluffy and salty. Pretzel Focaccia. Cut into long strips, breadstick style, to make dipping easier. I like to dip it in stone ground honey mustard sauce; hot sauce would also be delicious for those who like things spicy.
2) Super-Sausage Pizza
Pizza is a must at Super Bowl gatherings. it Super-Sausage Pizza it has a delicious and hearty crust that can hold a generous layer of fillings. Oatmeal flour gives the crust a slight crunch and golden hue, while Pizza dough flavor it ensures that every bite has an umami-laced garlic flavor.
3) Pita fries
Store-bought pita chips are good, but homemade chips blow them out of the water. They are extra crispy fresh from the oven (especially if you bake them in a pizza stone), and you can finish the fries any way you want. I like to split the group in half and give one a salt and herb bath and the other a spray cinnamon sugar. It lets the eaters play the field.
