How to make Churro Bars
The full recipe card is at the bottom of the post and is also printable! Here are the steps and some pictures to help answer any questions you may have!
Make the dough: First you are going to brown the butter. It deepens the flavor of the dough and I think it helps mimic the taste of deep frying! Do not skip this step! Once you've browned the butter, let it cool for 20 minutes and then mix in your flour. No mixer needed as the butter is already melted which makes it super easy!
Prepare and assemble: Line a 9×13 pan Parchment paper Or coat lightly with foil and baking spray. Then sprinkle half of your prepared cinnamon sugar on the bottom of the pan. This ensures that the entire bar is coated in cinnamon sugar like a churro!
Press the cookie dough into the pan and then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar evenly over the top and bake for 25 – 30 minutes.
Allow them to cool completely in the pan and then cut into squares!
