A HAIR growth guru took her mane from very dry to voluminous with her magic mix.
The DIYer mastered long and lustrous locks with her easy recipe.
“It is Sunday night and I am about to spend a little bit of time doing a bit of a self-care routine,” said Courtney (@itscourtneydow).
The mom of three wanted to make sure she was giving extra love to her locks.
“My secret weapon is my DIY scalp serum,” she said.
Courtney uses her mixture on the nights before she washes her hair.
“I make this myself you guys. It is so easy and it works so well,” she said.
The hair-growing sorceress was certainly pleased with her magic potion.
“My hair is in the best condition,” she said.
Courtney uses just a few simple ingredients that she says “support hair strength, hair growth, scalp health, and really shiny, beautiful hair.”

Her mix included essential oils such as rosemary, cedar wood, lavender, geranium, tea tree, and peppermint for overall hair health.
She added about ten drops of each oil topped with some carrier oil to her dropper bottle.
“I use a mix of castor oil, which is really well known for hair growth – you can use this for your lashes and your brows as well, and a little bit of jojoba which is lighter,” she said.
An affordable Difeel castor oil sells for $3.59 at Target and is described as being rich in antioxidants.
The oil has long been a remedy for hair loss and thinning hair.
Courtney advised leaving the serum in for at least a few hours or overnight before washing it out.
After dancing around to give the bottle a good shake, she applied the serum to her scalp in sections before giving her scalp a massage.
The mix also had one extra perk.
“It smells totally amazing,” she said.
