This April we celebrated our country'The first month of native plant appreciation, which got us thinking about the incredible botanicals in our ecosystem. We are often asked the question, “What is your favorite plant?” While it's hard to narrow down our lists, one particular herbal ally is immensely popular among our staff: the Oregon grape. This year, as the Oregon grape kept popping up at the top of our favorites list, obviously wanting to be the center of attention for a story, we decided that Native Plant Appreciation Month was a good time to oblige .
