What is a Herbarium?
A herbarium is a collection of plant monographs that catalog your study of plants. Each plant has its own section and is called a monograph. In the past, herbariums included pressed and dried plant specimens to show as many parts of the plant as possible and at different stages of growth. This “proved” the identity of the plants. In our digital age, materia medica specimens mostly use images and drawings of plants.
