Making pasta from scratch is not difficult. Requires a small portion of the ingredients (usually flour, water, salt and possibly eggs), little space against elbow, and a reliable pasta roller. (I'm a big fan of Atlas 150 pasta car.) But if I told you there is a car there that can simplify that process even more by doing it all: mixing your dough AND turning it into foil? To be honest, I was skeptical at the beginning-I am usually not the first to adopt a new tool, where proven and real methods have worked well. This machine, however, has sung me a new tune. How does Marcato Electric Pasta Machine work
Pasta recipes usually require you to mix the dough manuallyor for greater ease, In a food processor. Marcato Electric pasta machine simplifies that process, so you only need to add your ingredients, press a button to mix and reward with fresh pasta dough a few minutes later. You then use the same car to turn the dough into foil (more in the one below).
A roll especially inside the mixture well rotates in both mix your pasta dough and cook until smooth and fiery. This mechanization eliminates all the work of mixing and cooking by hand, which can be tedious and last 10 minutes. (This may be especially useful if there are limits in the amount of cooking you can make physically.) It also does it faster, releasing you for other tasks, such as preparing a sauce for your pasta. (I recommend the gorgonzola cream sauce from Our gnocchi potato recipe.) Once the dough is finished ready, remove it from the mixture. If you find that some of the dough are placed at the bottom, you can close the lid and use the “Pulse” button in the car to rotate the roller, pushing that dough up at the top and allowing you to catch it easily.
Once out of the car, the dough usually requires only a few seconds (not minutes!) Cook by hand to attach any special clusters to a single extent. From there, just wrap the dough tightly and let it rest according to the time shown in your recipe. Rest relaxes gluten This is formed during the cooking process, allowing you to flip and form the dough without turning back.
Types of pasta you can do with this machine
With your properly rested dough, it's time to put your pasta manufacturer again to work for rotation and shape. The car comes with three foil attachments: Lasagna, Fettuccine and Tagliolini. Start with the connection of Lasagna, which has a thickness dial that runs from thicker to thinner, allowing you to turn your dough into delicate noodles. From there, you can leave the foil wide and lay them in a lasagna or turn them into ravioli. Otherwise, you can change to one of the other ties to turn those wide noodles into thinner strands of fetucine or tagliolin.
But here is the real player of the game and my favorite trait of this pasta manufacturer. Because the machine is electric, the connection rotators are automatically returned, rather than manually turning a wrist as you feed the pasta dough through the machine. I have a lot of love for Atlas 150, but releasing both hands to feed the dough inside and off the car (and should not have to do more than two tasks AND Glove jump) is what really raised my pasta game. If you see that rolling pasta is easier as a two -person job, consider this device your new chef. Now you can roll (quite literally!) Through some noodles of pasta with ease and speed, which can also turn homemade pasta from a weekend project to a weekly meal option.
Advice for success
I make a fair amount of pasta in the test kitchen these days, and the FRESCA pasta has become my new tool for the rapid production of pasta. Here are my tips to get the best out of your new toy.
Keep it clean: Like any device, this works best when maintained well. First, turn off and disconnect the car. Allow any small piece of dough left on the mixture well after you have cooked to dry. Then you can easily move them and remove them. The lid comes out completely by turning it back, which makes it easy to enter the good mix and cleaning the lid itself.
Spend the dishwasher: Avoid any temptation to clear the joining of pasta frescoes in the dishwasher or otherwise immersed them in the water. Prevent rust and damage to the internal parts using a brush Or dry cloth to wipe any dough that can be attached to the appendages. In addition to the guide brochure that comes with the car, look at our Atlas cleaning tips 150which also apply to pasta frescoes.
Do more than just pasta: The function of mixing this machine is not limited to pasta dough; Bread, pizza and cookie can also mix. In addition to a basic pasta recipe, the guide brochure that comes with the car offers recipes for pizza, bread and even biscuits. Does our easy work Classic chocolate cookies Recipe (I know because I tried it!), And the results were the same as if I had done them by hand or in an attitude mixer. Simply add the ingredients to the order marked in the recipe.
To eliminate hands blocking alone, Marcato's electric pasta machine is, in my opinion, a valuable investment. But the fact that I can use it to make non-paste recipes is a big bonus, so it's not just a single-use device. Add to the savings of the time, space and energy that comes with this comprehensive car, and any home chef can benefit from the possession of Fresca Pasta, whether they are a pasta novice or a well practiced time.
