🌿 Adjusting your herbal facial cleansing
One of the things I really love to make my skin is how easy it is to fit the recipes for the changing needs of my skin. Whether I am responding to seasonal shifts, aging nicely, or supporting dry or damaged skin, I can combine plants and oils in a way to feel intuitive and nutritious – and always in accordance with what grows around me.
The basic recipe I have shared here is a wonderful starting point, but it is also endless adaptable. You can mix and match the plants depending on the actions you are looking for – whether it is soothing inflammation, adding moisture, or gently extracting dirt.
Here are some simple ways to adjust your home -made facial home cleaning:
🌼 For dry or aging skin:
Choose herbs that are soothing, moisturizing and rich in skin repair.
Try: Calendula, Plantain, Violet, Rosehips or Chickweed
Praise with rich, moisturizing oils like olive, sweet almonds or avocado oil.
🌿 For damaged or irritated skin:
Focus on plants that promote healing and reduce inflammation.
Try: Plantain, Chamomile, Yarrow or Comfrey (if you are satisfied by using it)
Jojoba oil works well here, as it imitates natural skin sebum and will not block pores.
🍃 For oily skin or prone acne:
Look for soft quality and antibacterial herb.
Try: Yarrow, witch hazelnut leaves, lavender or lemon balm
Use lighter oils like jojoba or grapesAnd consider adding a little green clay instead of bentonite.
🌸 For sensitive skin:
Climb with soothing, non -irritating herb and pass any strong essential oil or thick textures.
Try: Chickweed, purple, rose petals or ablend bolt
Join jojoba or oil infected with calendula for a gentle touch.
I like to think of herbal skincare as a dialogue – between myself, soil and what my skin requires at any moment. By listening closely, we can create rituals that feel deeply personal and rooted in the cycles of nature.
So experiment, play and follow your instincts. Nature provides all the tools – we just have to learn how to use them carefully.
