So I created a full moon journal and reflection workbook. Let me tell you about it.
This workbook was born out of that deep connection β my eternal relationship with the moon and the cycles that govern not only the heavens, but our very existence. For centuries, our ancestors lived according to the phases of the moon. They planted their gardens in rhythm with her cycles, relying on the light and gravitational pull of the moon to guide their actions. Whether it was the waxing crescent moon signaling the perfect time to plant or the full moon providing the optimal moment for harvesting, these lunar rhythms were an essential part of daily life.
As I delved into ancestral knowledge and explored how different cultures aligned with the moon, I discovered how universal this practice was. The ancient Egyptians, for example, used the moon to determine the timing of religious festivals and agricultural activities. Native American tribes named the moons based on seasonal changes and natural events, from Wolf Moon in January in Harvest Moon in September. And even today, many cultures, from the Hindus to the Chinese, observe festivals and rituals based on the lunar calendar.
The moon's influence doesn't stop with agriculture or ancient mythβits gravitational pull controls the tides, a powerful reminder of the moon's connection to Earth's rhythms. It is a force that moves the oceans and lakes, that regulates the rise and fall of the waters, just as it regulates the ebb and flow of energy within us. For me, the Full Moon is especially important. It represents a time of clarity, when the light shines brighter, revealing the truths hidden deep within us. It is a time for reflection, for release, and for embracing the fullness of who we are.
