We have exciting news: King Arthur is coming to Greenville, South Carolina this holiday season. We are starting a pop-up holiday shop in the West End from November 2nd to December 17th, where we'll have a wide range of baking essentials including ingredients, baking mixes, cookware, kitchenware, gifts and much more.
But that's not the only place you'll find us – we're launching initiatives across the local area, from Bake for good programs in schools to visits from our candy truck to stores, tailgates and beyond.
We're excited to be a part of the thriving local baking scene here. To keep up with all things fun and enjoy a baking-filled holiday season, here's our Greenville Baker Tour:

Try delicious baked goods at some of the best local bakeries
Of course, this guide wouldn't be complete without some local bakery recommendations. Some of our favorite local bakeries are below and we can't wait to discover more:
Swamp Rabbit Cafe: From fluffy scones to classic croissants to giant cinnamon buns, you can find almost any baked good you want at this amazing cafe and deli.
Rise Bakery: Born out of a time spent with COVID, Rise is a bakery that specializes in naturally leavened breads and laminated pastries, all available in a friendly space in West Greenville or at various farmers markets.
Baking room: Located in the Commons, the Bake Room is a nice place to pick up artisan bread, breakfast pastries or a cookie to eat, then enjoy the outdoors near the Swamp Rabbit Trail or Unity Park.
Small Croissant: If you're visiting our pop-up in the West End, be sure to stop next door for a French pastry at Le Petit Croissant. The colorful, eye-catching macarons are especially worth persuading.
Get your hands on some flour at a baking class
While ours Baking school you won't be making the trip south (although you can always make one virtual course!), you can sign up for an in-person baking class at one of these great locations throughout Greenville:
Cook's Station: This culinary center offers a wide range of classes, many of which focus on baking. There are classes on cookie decorating, sourdough baking, focaccia making and much more.
Truist Center for Culinary and Hospitality Innovation (CHI): Enter CHI's Training Kitchen for a hands-on course or a demonstration and tasting, depending on how you want to participate. You can take classes in cake decorating, baking, and even a pizza class.
Small Croissant: This adorable bakery also organizes monthly workshops on topics such as croissants, bread, pasta or pizza. BYOB is also an option!
M. Judson: In addition to book-themed events, M. Judson also offers occasional hands-on classes, like October's “Great Greenville Baking Class.” Keep an eye on their calendar of events for more upcoming classes.
