How to Make Grilled Lamb Burgers
Freshly-fried patties are the juiciest, but you can make them ahead of time. Scroll to the bottom of the post for the full recipe card.
- Make the feta. Process all of the feta ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Scrape down the sides and mix well. Set it aside.
- Form patties. Use your hands to shape the ground beef into 6 patties for the burgers. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Grill them. Set the grill to medium-high heat. Grill them for 3-4 minutes per side and then remove from heat. Add the buns and toast for 1 minute. Set them aside.
- Assemble the burgers. Spread each bun with 1-2 tablespoons of feta. Place a cooked patty on top of half of the bun. Top them with cucumber, caramelized onions and remaining buns. Serve and enjoy!
Tips and variations

- Fridge: Store the whipped feta and patties in separate containers. Feta will keep up to 3 days and patties up to 5.
- Freezer: Wrap each cooked patty in plastic wrap. Transfer it to a freezer bag and refrigerate for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
- To reheat them: Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon water and microwave in 20-second increments. You can heat it in a skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side.
